We have more babies that hatched this weekend!!! Whites & Paints seem to be the overall theme this spring. Hope to get more blacks out this summer. We had birds that shipped in and out last week an some more due this coming week here. For the gossip tree, we WON the case against the buyer and now due to temps going to high will have to wait for shipping them.

<![CDATA[More chicks!]]>Wed, 16 May 2012 10:12:37 -0500http://www.premiersilkies.com/1/post/2012/05/more-chicks2.htmlWe had a bunch of chicks hatch in Alabama! Three more here and set eggs a few days ago that candled out good, an set another good batch : ) The blue & splash arrived today from South Dakota, YEAH! Marty the white cock made it to Alabama in super condition as well. Going to do some bug patrol today as the weather is gorgeous. Pens & cages all are sparkling clean and the older youngstock was rebanded from their baby bands to the next size up, they sure do grow fast. Tiny tots got moved from the walmart bin to a big chick pen in the basement. Family is happy they are no longer upstairs, grin Still have a bin with 5 new tots in it upstairs. Like to keep an eye on them for a few days. Put together a fertility article for the site, check on blips on Care. Going to put together something for nutrition as well, keeping in mind most info out there is for the broiler/egg/turkey production plants and not the best information for us exhibition silkie breeders. ]]>
