Premier Silkies Bearded White Silkies

This program is by far the oldest program we have had and my biggest joy! This album has pictures of birds that go back to our beginnings in 2001. We started out with stock from Myron Turk with birds Snowman, Snowball, Snowflake, and continued the program with stock added from Royal Silkies; Mia, Maria, Mars, a cockerel ET bred by Eddy Travers, 8 birds from Shorty Poulston, 4 from George Mihalik and 3 from Don Jones. Our program has not had any new blood in a few years so for 2012 we are going to work on some new crosses to freshen up the line and keep it strong. It will be a work in progress seeing what works and what does not. In 2011 we purchased some new blood from Marty McGuire, Deb Steinberg & Pearson Zoo. We held back one cockerel & 3 pullets from the cock we bred Pierce who has since sold to Glenda C. We also got back a cock I bred in 2010 Mr. Wattles from Sherri and excited to get him on some girls!

2011/2012 Breeding Seasons

Picture
Well 2011 season just sucked, my website so my lanuage, lol We lost one of our older breeding males, and none of the rest could time out getting the job done when the girls were laying until late summer 2011. Pierce my 2010 cock saved the year with a small group he produced, I kept one cockerel and three pullets from this group.
In the fall of 2011 I finally broke down and went shopping, : ) I purchased two hens and a cockerel from Pearson Zoo, a hen from Deb Steinberg, and  we have a pair from Marty McGuire in our program.
